Creating a task in Web Plug-in

To create a new task in the Kaspersky Security Center Web Console:

  1. Start the task wizard in one of the following ways:
    • To create a local task:
      1. In the main window of the Web Console, select Assets (Devices)Managed devices.
      2. Click the protected device name.
      3. In the <Device name> window that opens, select the Tasks tab.
      4. Click Add.
    • To create a group task:
      1. In the main window of the Web Console, select Assets (Devices)Tasks.
      2. Click Add.

    The task wizard window opens.

  2. In the Application drop-down list, select Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes.
  3. In the Task type drop-down list, select the type of the task to be created.
  4. Depending on the selected task type, do one of the following:
    • Create an On-Demand Scan task.
    • To create an update task, configure task settings based on your requirements:
      1. You can specify Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server or Kaspersky update servers as an application update source in the Update sources block. You can also create a customized list of update sources: by adding custom HTTP and FTP servers or network folders manually and setting them as update sources.

        You can specify the usage of Kaspersky update servers, if manually customized servers are not available.

      2. Configure the settings for a feature that reduces the load on the disk subsystem:
      3. You can specify the actions that Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes will perform if critical application module updates are needed, as well as after installation of critical updates is complete. In addition, you can specify whether Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes will receive information about available scheduled updates.
      4. Specify the set of updates to copy and a path to the folder that will be used by Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes to store copied updates.
    • To create the Application Activation task:
      1. In the Selecting a license key window, specify the key file or activation code that you want to use to activate the application.
      2. Select the Use as a reserve key check box if you want to create a task for renewing the license.
    • Create and configure the Rule Generator for Applications Launch Control task.
    • Create and configure the Rule Generator for Device Control task.
  5. Click Next.
  6. If the task is being created for a set of protected devices, select the network (or group) of protected devices on which this task will be executed.
  7. Click Next.
  8. In the Finish task creation window, select the Open task details when creation is complete check box if you want to configure task settings.
  9. Click Finish.

The created task is displayed in the Tasks list.
