Configuring Backup settings
How to configure Backup settings in the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console
- In the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console tree, select the Policies folder.
- Select the necessary policy and double-click to open the policy properties.
- In the policy window, select Supplementary → Storages and click Settings.
- Select the Backup tab.
- Specify the Backup settings.
- Store objects no longer than
If the check box is selected, the maximum file storage term is limited to the defined time interval. The default maximum storage term for files is 30 days. After expiration of the maximum storage term, Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes deletes the oldest files from Backup.
- Limit the size of Backup to
This check box enables or disables the function that monitors the total size of objects stored in the Backup folder. If the specified value is exceeded (the default value is 400 MB), Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes logs the Maximum Backup size exceeded event and issues a notification according to the settings for notifications about events of this type.
If the check box is selected, Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes monitors the total size of objects placed in Backup.
If the check box is cleared, Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes does not monitor the total size of objects placed in Backup.
By default, the check box is cleared.
- Limit threshold value for available space to
The check box enables or disables the function that monitors the minimum amount of free space in Backup (the default value is 100 MB). If the amount of free space decreases below the specified threshold, Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes logs the Backup free space threshold exceeded event and issues a notification according to the settings for notifications about events of this type.
If the check box is selected, Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes monitors the amount of free space in Backup.
The Limit threshold value for available space to check box is active if the Limit the size of Backup to check box is selected.
The check box is selected by default.
If the size of objects in Backup exceeds the maximum Backup size or exceeds the available space threshold, Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes will notify you about this while continuing to place objects in Backup.

How to configure Backup settings in the Kaspersky Security Center Web Console
- In the main window of the Web Console, select Assets (Devices) → Policies & profiles.
- Click the name of the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes policy.
The policy properties window opens.
- Select the Application settings tab.
- Select Supplementary → Storages and click the Configure button.
- Select the Backup tab.
- Specify the Backup settings.
- Store objects no longer than
- Limit the size of Backup to
If the size of objects in Backup exceeds the maximum Backup size, Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes will notify you about this while continuing to place objects in Backup.
- Save your changes.
How to configure Backup settings in the Application Console
- In the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes Console tree, select Storages → Backup.
- In the results pane of the Backup node, click Properties.
- In the Properties: Backup window, specify the Backup settings:

If the size of objects in Backup exceeds the maximum Backup size or exceeds the available space threshold, Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes will notify you about this while continuing to place objects in Backup.
