Configuring a connection with Kaspersky Security Center

To configure a connection to Kaspersky Security Center:

  1. Open the Kaspersky Security Gateway Console
  2. Select the Kaspersky Security Gateway node.
  3. In the Connection Settings section of the results pane, click the Configure connection link.

    The Connection Settings window opens.

  4. Under Kaspersky Security Center, specify the following settings for connecting to the Kaspersky Security Center Administration server:
    • Server. IP address or domain name of the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server and the number of the port used to connect to it. Range of possible values for the port number: 1–65535.
      • For the klakaut data provider, the default port number is 13291. klakaut is the Kaspersky Security Center Automation utility, which lets you manage Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server via the external API using COM (Component Object Model) objects. If the klakaut utility is selected as the data provider, you must install the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console before installing Kaspersky Security Gateway on the same computer.

If you install Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console after Kaspersky Security Gateway, the connection between Kaspersky Security Gateway and the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server cannot be established.

      • For the Open API data provider, the default port number is 13299. If the Open API interface is selected as the data provider, you must export the Kaspersky Security Center root certificate and install it in the Certificate store of trusted root certificate authorities (CA).

Please, refer to the Kaspersky Security Center Help for detailed information about Kaspersky Security Center configuration.

    • User name. Account name of the administrator of the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server.
    • Password. Account password of the administrator of the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server.
  5. Click the Test connection button.

The status Connected appears when the connection is established.

  6. Click OK.
  7. Click the OK button to close the Kaspersky Security Gateway window.

You can also configure connection settings using the ConnectionSettings.xml configuration file located in the C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\Security Gateway\Settings folder. Note that you cannot set the password in the configuration file. Use Kaspersky Security Gateway Console to set the password.
