Enabling and disabling Exploit Prevention
Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes allows to monitor executable files being run by vulnerable applications. If Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes detects that an executable file from a vulnerable application was run by something other than the user, Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes will perform the selected action (for example, will block the operation).
How to enable or disable Exploit Prevention in the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console
In the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console tree, select the Policies folder. Select the necessary policy of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes and double-click to open the policy properties. This opens a window; in that window, in the list of sections, select Real-Time Computer Protection → Exploit Prevention . Click Settings . Select the Exploit Prevention check box to enable the component. On the General tab, select an exploit prevention mode : Block or Inform . If necessary, clear the Exploit Prevention check box to disable the component. Save your changes.
How to enable or disable Exploit Prevention in the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes Console
In the Application Console tree, expand the Real-Time Computer Protection node. Select the Exploit Prevention child node. In the main application window, click Properties . Select the Exploit Prevention check box to enable the component. On the General tab, select an exploit prevention mode : Block or Inform . If necessary, clear the Exploit Prevention check box to disable the component. Save your changes.
How to enable or disable Exploit Prevention in the Kaspersky Security Center Web Console
In the main window of the Web Console, select Assets (Devices) → Policies & profiles . Click the name of the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes policy.The policy properties window opens.
Select the Application settings tab. Go to Real-Time Computer Protection → Exploit Prevention and click the Configure button. This opens a window; in that window, under Exploit Prevention mode , select the Prevent vulnerable processes exploit check box to enable the component. Select an exploit prevention mode : Block or Inform . If necessary, clear the Prevent vulnerable processes exploit check box to disable the component. Save your changes.
