You can use the Policies and Tasks Migration Wizard of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes and Kaspersky Endpoint Agent 4.0 or earlier to Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes 4.5 with built-in agent to migrate policy and task settings for the following solutions:
The Policies and Tasks Migration Wizard is available only in the Web Console and Cloud Console.
We recommend to begin with migrating policies and tasks of the [KICS+KEA] configuration to [KICS+built-in agent] on a single computer, then do it on a group of computers, and then complete the migration on all computers of the organization.
To migrate the policies and tasks of the [KICS+KEA] configuration to the [KICS+built-in agent] configuration:
In the main window of the Web Console or Cloud Console select Operations → Migration to Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes 4.5.0.
This runs the policies and tasks migration wizard. Follow the instructions of the Wizard.
Step 1. Policy migration
Select Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes and Kaspersky Endpoint Agent policies whose settings you want to merge.
Make sure you selected the correct policies and go to the next step.
Step 2. Task migration
In the task list, select the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes tasks that you want to create for Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes 4.5.
Go to the next step.
Step 3. Wizard completion
Complete the wizard operation. As a result, the wizard does the following:
These policies combine settings from previous versions of Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes and Kaspersky Endpoint Agent. The names of the new policies are the same as the names of the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes policies before the merge, with the "copied from KICS" phrase added. New policies has the Inactive status. To apply the new merged policy, make it active.
When migrating from Kaspersky Endpoint Agent to Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes for the Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform (EDR) solution, you may encounter errors when connecting the computer to KATA servers. The reason is that the migration wizard skips the following policy settings and does not migrate them:
By default, modifying settings is allowed (the "padlock" is open). Therefore the settings are not applied on the computer. You must prohibit the modification of settings and close the "padlock".
If you are using two-way authentication for connecting to KATA servers, you must re-add the crypto-container. The migration wizard correctly migrates the TLS certificate of the server.
New tasks contain settings from migrated Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes tasks and also new settings that were introduced in Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes 4.5. The names of the new tasks are the same as the names of the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes tasks before the migration, with the "copied from KICS" phrase added.
