Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes scans the specified area for viruses and other computer security threats. Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes scans protected device files, RAM, and autorun objects.
Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes provides the following On-Demand Scan tasks:
The Scan at Operating System Startup task is performed every time Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes starts. Application scans boot sectors and master boot records of hard drives, removable drives, system memory, and process memory. Every time Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes runs the task, it creates a copy of non-infected boot sectors. If it detects a threat in those sectors the next time the task starts, it replaces them with the backup copy.
The Scan at Operating System Startup task is created automatically after installation. The Inform mode is applied by default. In this case, after you deploy Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes on the devices, you can enable the Scan at Operating System Startup task if no issues with system services were discovered during scan. If the application detects critical system services as infected or probably infected objects, the Inform mode gives you time to figure out the reason and solve the issue. Disinfection or removal of the system files may result in critical issues with operating system startup. If the application applies the Recommended mode, the following action is performed: Perform recommended action.
The Scan at Operating System Startup task might not be performed if a protected device wakes up after either sleep or hibernate mode. The task is performed only at protected device restart or start up after complete shut down.
By default, the Critical Areas Scan task is performed weekly on a schedule. Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes scans objects in critical areas of the operating system: autorun objects, boot sectors and master boot records of hard drives and removable drives, system memory and process memory. Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes applies security settings that correspond to the Inform level. You can modify the settings of the Critical Areas Scan task.
The Application Integrity Control task is performed daily. It provides the option of checking Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes modules for damage or modification. The application installation folder is checked. The task execution statistics indicate the number of modules checked and the number of modules found to be corrupted. The values of the task settings are defined by default and cannot be edited. The task start schedule settings can be edited.
The Removable Drives Scan task scans all files that you run or copy, even if the file is located on a removable drive. To prevent the spread of viruses and other malware, you can configure automatic scans of removable drives when they are connected to the computer.
The Full Scan task is performed weekly. The task ensures a thorough scan of the protected device, including system backup storage, boot sectors and mail databases.
Additionally, you can create custom On-Demand Scan tasks, for example, a task for scanning shared folders on the protected device.
Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Nodes may run several On-Demand Scan tasks at the same time.
