Administrator-initiated password change

An Administrator can set a new password for any other user. To change their own password, an Administrator, like any other user, must follow the password change procedure.

An Administrator can set a new password for an account created in the application only. This password change method is not available for Kaspersky Security Center user accounts that are configured for Single Sign-On (SSO).

We recommend changing user passwords in the following cases:

To set a new password for an account:

  1. Connect to the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Networks Server through the web interface using the Administrator account.
  2. Select Settings → Users.
  3. Select the user you want to set a new password for.

The details area appears in the right part of the web interface window.

  4. Click Set new password. If the button is not displayed in the toolbar, click the Three-dot icon. button and select the desired item in the menu that opens.

A Changing user password window appears.

  5. Enter the new password in the New password and Repeat new password fields.

The new password must meet the requirements listed in Changing user password. The conditions you fulfill are automatically marked while you are entering your password.

  6. Enter your password in the Confirmation password field.
  7. Click Save.

The user will need the new password next time they connect via the web interface.
