Changing the settings of a secret

When editing the secret settings, you can change its type and/or set different credentials.

After the secret settings, including the secret name, are changed, the new settings are applied in the security audit jobs where the secret is used. If you change the secret type, errors may occur during subsequent job runs if the new secret type does not match the job settings.

To edit the secret settings:

  1. Connect to the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Networks Server via the web interface under a user account that has been assigned a role with the access rights to perform this action.

This action can be performed by a user with any role except the Operator role.

  2. Select Settings → Secrets.
  3. Select the secret you want to change.

The details area appears in the right part of the web interface window.

  4. Click Edit.
  5. Change the settings as necessary. The options available when changing the secret settings are the same as the ones when adding a secret.

Critical secret information, such as passwords and certificate private keys, is not displayed as plain text. You can only replace the critical information with new information by using the links above the credentials fields.
