Assigning a golden device configuration

The application stores captured configurations for each device while running configuration control jobs. If configuration processing mode is set to Compare to golden configuration, the application considers the first loaded device configuration as golden. You can set any other saved device configuration as golden.

If necessary, you can compare saved device configurations before assigning a golden configuration.

To set a golden device configuration:

  1. Connect to the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Networks Server via the web interface under a user account that has been assigned a role with the access rights to perform this action.

This action can be performed by a user with any role except the Operator role.

  2. On the Devices tab in the Assets section, select the relevant device.

The details area appears in the right part of the web interface window.

  3. On the Configurations tab, in the details area, select the table row with the desired configuration type, such as Users, which stores user data. The selected type must have a value of at least 2 in the Total configurations column.

You will see a window containing detailed information about the selected configuration type.

  4. In the drop-down list, select the date and time when the configuration you want to set as the golden configuration was received.

The window will display detailed information about the saved configuration of the selected type.

  5. Click Set as golden configuration.
  6. In the prompt window, confirm the assignment of the golden configuration.
