Automatically grouping devices based on a specific criterion beginning with the top level of the hierarchy in the group tree
To automatically group devices by a specific criterion starting at the top level of the hierarchy in the group tree:
Connect to the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Networks Server via the web interface under a user account that has been assigned a role with the access rights to perform this action.
This action can be performed by a user with any role except the Operator role.
On the Network interaction map tab in the Network map section, click one of the following buttons for selecting a grouping criterion in the toolbar located in the left part of the network interaction map display area:
– for grouping devices by subnet.
– for grouping devices by category.
– for grouping devices by vendor.
A window opens with a prompt for you to select a grouping option.
To group devices by category and vendor based on address spaces, in the prompt window select the Take into account the address spaces check box.
Click one of the following buttons depending on your desired result:
To group devices by subnets, click Group.
To group devices by category and vendor based on address spaces in all groups of the device group tree, click With child groups.
To group devices by category and vendor based on address spaces only at the top level of the device group tree hierarchy, click Selected group only.
The application will identify the devices that match the selected grouping criterion, create groups for these devices, and place the devices into these groups.
