Configurations of devices running Linux operating systems

The Linux operating system type of devices is obtained on devices that use commands to run standard diagnostic utilities for Linux devices.

For the Linux operating system type of devices, you can specify the following configuration types for receiving data:

Retrievable data on users

If the Users configuration type is specified for the configuration control job, the user account data on a device is read when the device is scanned. The application lets you receive the following data on each user account:

Retrievable data on applications

If the Applications configuration type is specified for the configuration control job, the data on installed applications on a device is read when the device is scanned. The application lets you receive the following data on each application:

Retrievable data on ARP table items

If the ARP table items configuration type is specified for the configuration control job, the data on ARP table items on a device is read when the device is scanned. The application lets you receive the following data on each table item:

Retrievable data from the IP-to-network name mapping table

If the IP-to-network name consistency configuration type is specified for the configuration control job, the data on items in the IP-to-network name mapping table (from the \etc\hosts file) on a device is read when the device is scanned. The application lets you receive the following data on each table item:

Retrievable data from the IP-to-NetBIOS name mapping table

If the IP-to-NetBIOS name consistency configuration type is specified for the configuration control job, the data on items in the IP-to-NetBIOS name mapping table (from the /etc/lmhosts file) on a device is read when the device is scanned. The application lets you receive the following data on each table item:

Retrievable data on scheduled tasks

If the Scheduled tasks configuration type is specified for the configuration control job, the data on registered tasks in the Task Scheduler on a device is read when the device is scanned. The application lets you receive the following data on each task:

Retrievable data on services

If the Services configuration type is specified for the configuration control job, the data on services on a device is read when the device is scanned. The application lets you receive the following data on each service:

Retrievable data on the routing table

If the Routing table configuration type is specified for the configuration control job, the data on routing table items on a device is read when the device is scanned. The application lets you receive the following data on each table item:

Retrievable data on the permissions of privileged groups and users

If the Permissions of privileged groups and users configuration type is specified for the configuration control job, the data on privileged group and user permissions (from the \etc\sudoers file) on a device is read when the device is scanned. The application lets you receive the following data on the permissions of privileged groups and users:
