Downloading files containing data from the standard output and error streams when starting a process

After the Start process response action is successfully completed, the Endpoint Agent software component sends stdout and stderr text files containing data from the standard output and error streams to Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Networks when the process is started. Files are sent if the corresponding data was received on the device.

There is a data size limit for sent files. If the source file size is greater than 100 KB, the Endpoint Agent software component removes some of the data in the sent file to reduce the file size to 100 KB.

When downloading stdout and stderr files, you must consider the following:

• Files containing process startup data are stored in the Server database temporarily and are automatically deleted after seven days in storage.
• Users with the Administrator or Security Officer role can download files.

To download a file containing standard output or error stream data:

1. Connect to the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity for Networks Server through the web interface using an Administrator or Security Officer account.
2. Select the action on the Response actions tab in the Events section.

   The details area appears in the right part of the web interface window.

3. In the details area, open the Download data drop-down list and select the relevant item: Standard output stream (stdout) or Standard error stream (stderr).

   The drop-down list and items are available if the Start process response action is selected and the files containing the corresponding data are stored in the Server database.

Your browser will save the downloaded file. Depending on your browser settings, your screen may show a window in which you can change the path and name of the saved file.
