For each device that is known to the application, you can monitor its network activity by viewing information about the network behavior of this device. The information is displayed in the device details area on the Network behavior tab.
Widgets are used to display information about the device's network behavior. Data in widgets is updated in online mode.
The Network behavior tab contains the following widgets:
Some quantitative values in widgets allow you to navigate to the corresponding sections of the application web interface. For example, you can use your mouse to select the displayed number of network sessions to view details about these sessions in the Network map section on the Network sessions tab.
To clearly display the current status in the Network Interaction Control and Learning quality widgets, the application uses the appropriate color to highlight the line on the left-side border of the widget. When Interaction Control is configured, green lines on the left-side borders of these two widgets indicate that the application is monitoring the network behavior of the device and all detected interactions comply with the current allow rules for this device.
If the color of the line on the left-side border of the Network Interaction Control and/or Learning quality widget is not green, you need to check whether this device is functioning correctly and return it to its normal operating mode (if necessary). For example, if a device is involved in preventive maintenance and commissioning operations, the application may register events based on Network Integrity Control or Command Control technology, which results in a switch to the Deviations observed status in the Learning quality widget. In this case, you can wait until the end of preventive and commissioning operations and the device will then continue operating normally.
After checking whether the device is functioning correctly, a user with the appropriate permissions can do the following:
