Before using Privacy Protection, read the following limitations:
Google account synchronization
When Privacy Protection is on, contact syncing must be turned off in your Google account. This lets the app hide the selected contacts.
If syncing is on, hidden contacts will be re-added to your Google account's Contacts. If you turn off Privacy Protection, these contacts will be duplicated.
We recommend you take the following action:
Before turning on Privacy Protection, manually turn off contact syncing in your Google account settings.
If you don’t want to use Privacy Protection anymore, turn it off and then manually turn on contact syncing in your Google account settings.
You don't need to do anything. All data syncing is automatically turned off in your Google account when Privacy Protection is turned on.
Uninstalling Kaspersky Internet Security
Before uninstalling Kaspersky Internet Security, make sure Privacy Protection is turned off. Otherwise, all hidden contacts might be deleted.
If you are uninstalling Kaspersky Internet Security in the app settings, Privacy Protection is turned off automatically. If you are uninstalling Kaspersky Internet Security in the device settings, manually turn off Privacy Protection.
Limitations on hiding text messages (SMS)
Due to the technical limitations in Android 4.4 and newer, Privacy Protection may not hide messages from hidden contacts in some messaging apps.
