Real-time Protection detects threats in opened files and scans apps in real-time as they are installed on the device. Real-time Protection also detects adware and apps that intruders may use to harm your device or exploit your personal data.
Real-time Protection is only available in the premium version of Kaspersky Internet Security.
To configure Real-time Protection settings:
On the quick launch panel in Kaspersky Internet Security's main window, tap Real-time Protection.
Tap Real-time Protection and select the protection mode: Recommended or Extended.
Extended protection mode increases power consumption.
Enable scanning for adware, dialers, and remote administration apps by selecting the Adware, auto-dialers, and other checkbox.
This type of scan detects apps that cybercriminals can use to harm users.
If you selected the Extended protection mode, configure its settings by going to the Advanced settings section and tapping Real-time Protection.
If you selected the Recommended protection mode, settings in the Real-time Protection section cannot be edited.
Select the types of files to scan in real time by tapping Files to scan and selecting a value.
Select the action to be performed by the app when an object is detected during real-time scanning: tap Action on detection and select a value.
