About Privacy Protection

You can use the Privacy Protection feature to hide your private contacts and all related call and text message history.

Privacy Protection is only available in the premium version of Kaspersky Internet Security.

Privacy Protection lets you:

• Create a list of private contacts whose details you want to hide.
• Hide data about selected contacts in the phonebook, received text messages that have been read, text messages that have been sent, drafts of text messages, and contact info in phone logs.
• Block incoming text message notifications and calls from selected contacts (the caller hears a "busy" tone).

To view calls and text messages received in a period when private data was hidden, you must turn off data hiding. If you turn on data hiding, your private data is hidden again.

You can turn on data hiding in the following ways:

• In the app, by changing its settings.
• Remotely, via an SMS command sent from the Kaspersky Internet Security interface on another device.
• Remotely, through the My Kaspersky portal.

You can enable the remote data hiding on your device. If remote data hiding is disabled on the device, the function cannot be launched remotely via an SMS command or My Kaspersky.

You can only turn off data hiding in the app installed on your device.

Access to Privacy Protection settings is protected with the secret code.
