Selecting data to hide

Privacy Protection is only available in the premium version of Kaspersky Internet Security.

By default, the app hides the following data for private contacts:

If a private contact sends a text message, by default the app displays the message without showing the contact's phone number. If a private contact makes a call, the app allows the incoming call but does not display the contact's phone number.

You can change which data is hidden. For example, you can hide incoming text messages and calls from private contacts. In this case, the app blocks text message notifications and calls from private contacts (the caller hears a "busy" tone).

To select which information to hide:

  1. On the quick launch panel in Kaspersky Internet Security's main window, tap Privacy Protection.
  2. Enter the app's secret code.

If you forget the secret code, you can recover it.

  3. Turn the Privacy Protection switch to OFF.
  4. Tap Settings> Privacy Protection > Advanced settings > Information to hide.
  5. Select checkboxes next to the types of data you want to hide for private contacts.
  6. Return to the main screen, tap Privacy Protection and turn the Privacy Protection switch to ON.
