How to update your payment method

When you purchase a subscription for a Kaspersky app from an authorized payment provider, your payment method (such as a bank card or account number) is automatically linked to your My Kaspersky account and subscription. You can use different payment methods for each subscription, for example, one bank card for one subscription and another card for a different subscription.

We don't store or process any data about your payment methods. The data we receive from your payment provider is displayed as is.

To view all payment methods linked to your account:

  1. Click your email address in the upper-right corner of the page.
  2. In the drop-down menu, click the manage your account button.

    The Account settings window opens.

  3. Go to the Payment method tab.

A list of payment methods that are linked to your account opens.

To view subscriptions that are linked to a payment method, click the View button in the payment method card. If there is no View button for the payment method, then no subscription in your account is currently linked to this payment method.

If you have a subscription with auto-renewal, the linked payment method will be charged for the next subscription period a few days before the subscription expires.

How to view the payment method for a subscription

If we cannot identify the payment method used to purchase your subscription, Unknown payment method may be displayed instead of a payment method name. This doesn't affect your subscription payment, it just means we could not get information from the payment provider about the payment method used. In this case, you can update this payment method following the instructions below.

To update a payment method:

  1. In the payment method card, click the gear icon (Details.) to open the menu.
  2. Click the Update payment method button.

A window where you can update your payment method opens.

  3. In the Update payment method window, you can do one of the following:
    • Add a new payment method. To do this, select the Add new payment method option and click the Add new payment method button. Follow the instructions of your payment provider.
    • Select a payment method used in other subscriptions. To do this, select the payment method you would like to use and click the Update payment method button.

Within 24 hours, the payment method will be updated for all subscriptions that used the previous payment method. If you have subscriptions with auto-renewal, the updated payment method will be charged for the next subscription period a few days before the subscription expires.

If you have subscriptions with auto-renewal that are already expired, the updated payment method will be charged for the next subscription period immediately.

You can also change your billing address or delete a payment method that is not used in any subscription.

If the updated payment method could not be saved, please check that your payment account has sufficient funds and that the details are correct and unique to your account. Then update the payment method to try again.

If the Couldn't debit funds warning is displayed, it means that the payment account of the current payment method has insufficient funds or the payment details are not valid, and the subscription will not be renewed.

To renew your subscription when this warning is displayed:

  1. In the Subscriptions tab, find the panel of the subscription that could not be renewed and do one of the following:
    • Click the Retry payment button.

If a payment confirmation window appears, review your purchase details and click the Pay now button. Your subscription will be renewed when the payment is processed, and the funds will be debited from your current payment method.

    • Click the Pay with another method button and follow the instructions to update your payment method.

Your subscription will be renewed when the payment is processed, and it will be linked to the updated payment method.

You can also click the See payment details button in the warning and find these actions in the Account settings window in the Payment method tab.
