The security of your data largely depends on the strength of your password.
Users may put their accounts at risk when they use the same passwords for multiple accounts, create weak passwords (qwerty, 12345, etc.) or base their passwords on information that can be easily guessed or obtained (for example, names of relatives or dates of birth).
Kaspersky Password Manager helps create unique and strong passwords. In the password generator, you can specify the length of a password and choose whether it will contain digits and special characters. A password is considered strong if it contains a minimum of eight characters, including uppercase and lowercase Latin letters, digits, and special characters.
You can open the Password Generator window in one of the following ways:
From the application interface: Click the application icon in the menu bar and choose Generate Password.
From the browser: When you type a password in an online registration form, the Kaspersky Password Manager extension displays a card with recommendations on how to create a strong password, information about the strength of the password you are typing in, and the Generate Password button. Click Generate Password.
In the Password Generator window, select the criteria for the new password.
When you change any of the settings in the Password Generator window, a new password is generated. You can copy the password to the Clipboard by clicking Copy or generate another password by clicking
. When you close the Password Generator window, all password settings are reset to the default values.
