Special considerations of activating the application when using the key for the DLP Module

If you are activating a DLP Module, you must take into account the special considerations for application activation:

• A DLP Module active key may be added only if there is an active key of the Security Server.
• A DLP Module additional key may be added only if there is a DLP Module active key and an additional key of the Security Server.
• The effective life of the active or additional keys of the DLP Module cannot exceed the effective life of the corresponding keys of the Security Server.
• If you remove an active key or additional key of the Security Server, the DLP Module key is also removed.
• If the DLP Module active key is missing or its effective life has expired, the DLP Module shall operate in the following mode:
  • The DLP Module does not check messages for data leaks.
  • The Security Officer may work with DLP categories and DLP policies, incidents and reports.
  • DLP Module databases are updated together with the Anti-Virus databases.
• You can activate a DLP Module only if you used a key file to activate the application on a Security Server. If you used an activation code to activate the application on a Security Server, you cannot activate a DLP Module. You can replace the activation code with a key file. To generate a key file based on an activation code, you can use the Kaspersky Lab website at https://activation.kaspersky.com/.
• The application cannot use a DLP Module if a subscription-based commercial license was activated for the Security Server.
