Exporting settings

For information on how to export settings from Kaspersky Security for Linux Mail Server version 8, see the "Migrating settings from Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server" section.

To export settings:

  1. In the application web interface window, select the SettingsGeneralSettings export and import section.
  2. Select the Export tab.
  3. Click the Export button.
  4. This opens a window; in that window, set a password to prevent unauthorized access to the file with exported settings:
    1. In the Password field, specify the access password for the contents of the file.

      The password must contain upper and lower case Latin letters (A–z), numerals (0–9), and special characters. The password must be at least 15 characters long.

      To see the password you entered, click and hold the Icon of an eye. icon as long as you need.

    2. In the Confirm password field, re-enter the password.
    3. Click Export.

    A row appears in the table, corresponding to the file with exported settings, and the Status column displays the current status of the export operation. After the operation is successfully completed, the date and time of the export is displayed.

  5. To save the file with exported settings to the disk, click the Download. icon in the row of the file.

The configuration file with exported settings will be saved in the downloads folder of the browser.

You can delete a file with exported settings in the application web interface. To do so, in the line of the file with exported settings, click the Delete. icon.
