Organizations whose network infrastructure does not have an Internet connection can receive KSMG database updates through Kaspersky Security Center. Database updates are downloaded to the Kaspersky Security Center repository deployed in the infrastructure of the organization and from there, forwarded to KSMG.
This section contains instructions on setting up KSMG database updates using Kaspersky Security Center 15.0 Linux and 15.1 Linux.
Configuring the receipt of KSMG database updates through Kaspersky Security Center involves the following steps:
You must perform this step if you want to use the Network Agent in Astra Linux Special Edition with the closed software environment mode enabled.
For details, see the Kaspersky Security Center 15.1 Linux Help.
Network Agent enables the interaction between the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server and the KSMG node. Network Agent must be installed on all nodes where you want to be updating KSMG databases.
For details about the Network Agent, see the Kaspersky Security Center 15.1 Linux Help.
All nodes of the KSMG cluster on which the Network Agent is installed must be displayed in the list of managed devices in Kaspersky Security Center.
For details about managed devices, see the Kaspersky Security Center 15.1 Linux Help.
For details, see the Kaspersky Security Center 15.1 Linux Help.
Kaspersky Security Center runs the KSMG database update download task in accordance with the schedule specified in the task properties. You can run the task manually at any time.
For details, see the Kaspersky Security Center 15.1 Linux Help.
To do this, in the KSMG web interface, go to the Settings → External services → Database update section, select the Update settings tab and in the Source drop-down list, select Kaspersky Security Center.
As a result, automatic receipt of KSMG database updates via Kaspersky Security Center is configured.
