Creating an exclusion category

You can create a new category containing exclusions for Light Agent for Linux whereby Kaspersky Security will not scan files or folders in the category and/or objects with the specified name.

To create an exclusion category:

  1. Open Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console.
  2. In the Managed devices folder of the console tree, open the folder with the name of the administration group to which the relevant protected virtual machines belong.
  3. In the workspace, select the Policies tab.
  4. Select the Light Agent for Linux policy in the list of policies and open the Properties: <Policy name> window by double-clicking.
  5. In the Light Agent for Linux policy properties window, select the General protection settings section in the list on the left.
  6. In the right part of the window, in the Exclusions and trusted zone section, click the Settings button.

    The Trusted zone window opens on the Exclusions tab.

  7. In the Trusted Zone window, on the Exclusions tab, click the Add button.

    The context menu of the button opens.

  8. In the context menu of the Add button, select Category.

    The Category window opens.

  9. In the Category name field, enter a name for the new exclusion category.
  10. Click OK in the Category window.

    The added exclusion category will appear in the list of exclusions on the Exclusions tab of the Trusted Zone window.

  11. In the Trusted zone window, click OK.
  12. Click the Apply button.
