Enabling and disabling application module updates

Application module updates can be enabled or disabled in the settings of a Protection Server policy. You can update the modules of Light Agent for Windows, Light Agent for Linux, and the Protection Server. If application module updates are enabled, Kaspersky Security includes application module updates into the update package.

To enable or disable application module updates:

  1. Open Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console.
  2. In the Managed devices folder of the console tree, select the folder with the name of the administration group whose policy you want to edit.
  3. In the workspace, select the Policies tab.
  4. Select a Protection Server policy in the list of policies and right-click to open the Properties: <Policy name> window.
  5. Select the Update settings section in the window of Protection Server policy properties.

Update settings will appear in the right part of the window.

  6. Do one of the following:
    • Select the Update application modules check box if you want application module updates to be included in the update package for Kaspersky Security.
    • Clear the Update application modules check box if you want to exclude application module updates.
  7. Click OK.

Updates for Light Agent for Windows and Light Agent for Linux modules are installed automatically on protected virtual machines. The SVM application module update task is used for installing updates of application modules on SVMs.
