At this step specify the network settings for the SVM depending on the hypervisor type.
For SVMs on VMware ESXi, Citrix Hypervisor (Citrix XenServer), Microsoft Windows Server (Hyper-V), KVM, Proxmox VE, R-Virtualization, or HUAWEI FusionCompute CNA hypervisors
Do one of the following:
By default, the IP address of the DNS server and the IP address of the alternative DNS server received over the DHCP protocol are used for each SVM. If you specified several virtual networks for the SVM at the previous step, by default the network settings for the SVM are received from the DHCP server of the first virtual network in the list of the specified virtual networks.
If you want to manually specify the IP address of the DNS server and alternative DNS server, clear the Use list of DNS servers received via DHCP check box. This opens a table containing the following information:
Specify the IP addresses of DNS servers in the DNS server and Alternative DNS server table columns.
Specify the following network settings for each SVM:
If you specified several virtual networks for the SVM at the previous step, specify the network settings for each virtual network.
Proceed to the next step of the wizard.
For SVM on Nutanix AHV hypervisor
Protection of the virtual infrastructure on the Nutanix Acropolis platform is supported only in the following Kaspersky Security updates: 5.1.1, 5.1.2, and 5.1.3.
Configuring the network settings is available only for SVMs using the managed virtual networks with static IP addressing. The SVM network settings in managed networks with dynamic IP addressing are configured with hypervisor tools. If SVMs use unmanaged networks, it is recommended to make sure the DHCP server is configured for your network environment.
If you have selected one or several virtual networks with static IP addressing at the previous step, the window displays a table containing the following information:
In the IP address field, specify the IP address for each network. It will be assigned to the SVM. You can enter the IP addresses from the subnetwork address pool, specified in the hypervisor settings.
If you did not select any virtual network with static IP addressing at the previous step, you cannot use the Wizard to configure the network settings for SVMs.
Proceed to the next step of the wizard.
