Managing the application over SNMP

SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is a network device management protocol.

For working over SNMP, Kaspersky Web Traffic Security uses SNMP Agent, which keeps track of information about application performance. Kaspersky Web Traffic Security can send this information as SNMP traps, which are notifications about application events.

For operations over the SNMP protocol, you must preconfigure the snmpd service in the operating system.

The SNMP protocol allows you to access the following information about the application:

Access to information is read-only.

Information about SNMP traps and statistics sent over the SNMP protocol is stored in the MIB database.
