Preparing the cluster for the migration procedure

To prepare the cluster for migration:

  1. Make sure that the application uses a current license key and that there are no licensing-related errors in node statuses.

You cannot complete the migration without a license or with an expired license.

  2. The migration procedure involves a temporary increase in the number of nodes in the cluster. Reserve an IP address for the additional cluster node and assign a domain name to it.
  3. If you have configured Kerberos Single Sign-On, add an entry for the additional node's domain name to the keytab file, and then upload the updated keytab file in Single Sign-On settings.
  4. If you have configured Kerberos authentication on the built-in proxy server, add an entry for the additional node's domain name to the keytab file, and then upload the updated keytab file in the built-in proxy authentication settings.
  5. If you have installed a package with national root certificates, please contact Technical Support and request a similar package for the application deployed from an ISO file based on Rocky Linux 9.5.

This is necessary because packages for different operating systems are not compatible with each other.

  6. If you have installed Kaspersky Web Traffic Security update packages to fix bugs in the application, please contact Technical Support and request similar update packages for the application deployed from an ISO file based on Rocky Linux 9.5.

This is necessary because update packages for different operating systems are not compatible with each other.

  7. If you have made changes to the configuration file templates of the built-in proxy server or to the configuration of other operating system services on the cluster nodes, make a list of these changes and create backup copies of the modified files. Please discuss the applicability of these changes to Rocky Linux 9.5 with Technical Support.
