On August 8, 2013 Kaspersky Lab announced the release of Maintenance Pack 1 for Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Servers (MP1). Full version number: 8.2.15252.

Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Servers MP1 protects Microsoft SharePoint Servers against malicious objects and unwanted content.

With Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Servers MP1, you can:

  1. Perform on-demand scanning of SharePoint server documents for malicious objects and unwanted content.

  2. Perform on-access scanning of documents for malicious objects or unwanted content, when users attempt to upload a document to a server or download it from a server to a workstation.

  3. Specify the areas within the SharePoint server structure to be scanned. It is also possible to exclude certain areas from the scan scope to decrease the server load.

  4. Perform on-demand scanning of files attached to SharePoint list items for unwanted content..

  5. Configure the rules for processing the documents found to contain malicious objects or unwanted content.

  6. Save copies of documents to Backup before they are disinfected or removed.

  7. Generate reports about the results of document scanning. The reports can be generated automatically according to the schedule or upon request.

  8. Keep the anti-virus and content filtering databases up-to-date using the automatic and manual updates.
