I cannot manage Kaspersky Small Office Security 3 for Personal Computer while working with my computer remotely via TeamViewer. How to eliminate the problem?

If you use the TeamViewer application to manage your computer remotely and Kaspersky Small Office Security 3 for Personal Computer is installed on the computer, then you will not be able to use and configure the anti-virus settings remotely. The problem appears because of the Self-Defense component features.

If you wish to manage the application settings remotely via the TeamViewer application, it is recommended to add TeamViewer to the list of trusted applications of the anti-virus software.

In order to do this, perform the following actions:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the upper right corner of the window, click Settings.

  1. In the Protection tab of the Settings window, select Threats and exclusions.
  2. In the Exclusions section, click on the Settings button.

  1. In the Trusted zone window, select the Trusted applications tab and click Add.
  2. Select Browse in the drop-down menu. 

 

  1. In the Open window:
    • If TeamViewer is installed on the computer, select C:\Program Files\TeamViewer\Version8\TeamViewer_Desktop.exe.
    • If Teamviewer is launched without installation, enable display of hidden folders and select C:\Documents and Settings\<user_name>\Local Settings\Temp\TeamViewer\Version8\TeamViewer_Desktop.exe.  
  2. In the Exclusions for application window, select the checkbox Do not monitor application activity and click OK.

 

  1. Click OK in the Trust zone window.

  1. Click OK in the Settings window and close the main application window.
