Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 3.0 offers the following options of deploying secure virtual machines (SVMs) on hypervisors:

  • Deployment on an autonomous hypervisor Microsoft Hyper-V Server or Citrix XenServer.

Each hypervisor can only host one SVM.

  • Deployment on a hypervisor that is a part of a Citrix XenServer pool.

Each hypervisor can only host one SVM.

Several SVMs may be deployed in a shared Citrix XenServer storage repository. An SVM installed into a shared storage, when launched, works on the hypervisor that has more resources and a lower load. If the SVM is activated with a key that is limited by the number of CPU cores, the number of its hypervisor's host machine CPU cores is what counts.
