The article concerns the following versions of Kaspersky Security Center 10:

  • Service Pack 3 (version 10.5.1781.0)
  • Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 1 (version 10.4.343)

By default, collecting traces of Kaspersky Security Center Web Console is disabled. To collect traces, perform the following actions on the Administration Server with Web Console installed:

  1. Download the Web-Con-Trace.zip archive and extract files from it.
  2. Enable trace collection:
    • If you are using a 32-bit operating system, run the file web-con-5lvl_on.reg.
    • If you are using a 64-bit operating system, run the file web-con-5lvl-x64_on.reg.

  3. Restart the Web Console service:

net stop CSwebinterface
net start CSwebinterface

  1. Reproduce the problem.
  2. Disable trace collection:
    • If you are using a 32-bit operating system, run the file web-con-5lvl_off.reg.
    • If you are using a 64-bit operating system, run the file web-con-5lvl-x64_off.reg.

The trace file is saved to the folder %allusersprofile%\Application Data\KasperskyLab\CSWebInterface and has a file name of the following type: trace_yyyymmdd_xxxxxxxx_id.log.
