How to enable password protection in Kaspersky Small Office Security 4 for File Server

To block unauthorized access to Kaspersky Small Office Security 4 for File Server (for example, to prevent settings changing), you can enable password protection. To set a password in Kaspersky Small Office Security 4 for File Server:

  1. Open Kaspersky Small Office Security 4 for File Server.
  2. In the lower left corner of the main application window, click Settings.

  1. In the General section, click the Set up password protection link.

To prevent unauthorized settings modification, application termination or removal, set a password for Kaspersky Small Office Security 4 for File Server

  1. In the Password protection window, type your password into the fields New password and Confirm password.
  2. In the Password scope section, select or clear check boxes corresponding to the actions that will require entering the password:
    • Configure application settings
    • Manage Backup and Restore
    • Quit the application
    • Remove the application
  3. Click Save.

Set the password and specify its scope

  1. Close the application window.
