How to enable or disable Self-Defense in Kaspersky Total Security 2016

Kaspersky Total Security 2016 features the Self-Defense component that protects the application from malware and ensures its stable operation. In some cases, you may need to disable Self-Defense (for example, for deleting large trace files).

To enable or disable Self-Defense, do the following:

  1. Open the Settings window in Kaspersky Total Security 2016.  
  2. In the Settings window, go to the Additional section and select Self-Defense in the right frame.

  1. Select or clear the Enable Self-Defense check box.

  1. In the Attention! dialog, click the Continue button.

Confirm your actions by clicking Continue
