Web Anti-Virus is a component which prevents virus infections. It intercepts and blocks execution of scripts located on dangerous websites. The component monitors traffic transferred via HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP protocols.
For analyzing objects, Web Anti-Virus uses antivirus databases as well as the heuristic algorithm which detects unknown threats. If Web Anti-Virus detects pieces of malicious code in the object, it performs the action selected in the preferences.
When a secure connection is being established, Kaspersky Internet Security 16 for Mac checks the authenticity of the website’s digital certificate. If the certificate is not authentic, the application will either block the connection or show a notification for you to choose whether to accept or decline the certificate.
