When you are connected to a public or home wireless network, your sensitive information may be available to hackers if the network is not protected enough.
Kaspersky Total Security 2017 scans wireless networks and notifies you of vulnerabilities. By default, such notifications are disabled in Kaspersky Total Security 2017. If you use Wi-Fi networks, we recommend that you enable notifications of vulnerabilities in Wi-Fi networks to protect your data.
To disable notifications of vulnerabilities in wireless networks, uncheck the Notify of vulnerabilities in Wi-Fi networks box.
The transmitted data can be encrypted. The transmitted data can be encrypted. The authentication and encryption protocols are chosen by the administrator who configures wireless network settings. The user cannot select or change the protocol.
The protocols differ by their level of security.
Kaspersky Total Security 2017 considers the wireless network secure only if the authentication protocol is WPA2 and the encryption protocol is CCMP. All other networks are considered vulnerable.
