The Administration console is the interface for accessing the features and settings of the Administration Server locally or via the network. Administration console is a module for Microsoft Management Console, which is a standard interface for performing administration tasks in Microsoft Windows operating systems based on the NT technology.
You can manage all Administration Servers in the network via the console.
The console is installed together with the Administration Server, or it can be installed locally to the computer within the network which meets the system requirements. You can install and update the console remotely. You can install an unlimited number of consoles.
We do not recommend using different versions of Administration consoles simultaneously. E.g. if you installed the new version of the Administration Server and Administration console, and the earlier version of the console remains in the network, the product may not function correctly.
For correct display of all settings and features of your Kaspersky Lab products in the console, use administration plug-ins, which are built into the console when you install them.
Release of antivirus database updates (required to protect your computer/server/mobile device)
Providing technical support over phone / web
Release of patches for the application (addressing detected bugs)
