Target devices may stop responding during the operating system startup on Citrix PVS 7.15 with Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 4.0 Light Agent installed Symptoms 

  • Target devices get two IP addresses on the same interface. 
  • ARP cache on PVS contains a lot of active dynamic entries per one target device mac address (more than number of interfaces on target device).  
  • Target devices get more than one IP address even in the maintenance mode.  

Solution

Configure the DHCP server which is used in your environment for VDI:

  1. Set up DHCP lease time to 30 days (for the target device scope). 
  2. Add options 58 and 59.
  3. Make sure that your DHCP offers the same IP after restarting the same target device.
