How to block banner ads on websites using Anti-Banner in Kaspersky Small Office Security 6
Anti-Banner blocks ads on websites and in applications. You can manage the process of blocking banner ads in Kaspersky Small Office Security or your browser.
Some features of Anti-Banner do not work in Internet Explorer 8.
How to turn on Anti-Banner in your browser
Anti-Banner is disabled by default. To enable the component and block banner ads:
- Open the browser and click the Kaspersky Protection extension button. It is located on the right or left of the address bar depending on the specific browser. - In the Anti-Banner section, click Enable.
Anti-Banner will be enabled, and banner ads will be blocked.
How to enable Anti-Banner in Kaspersky Small Office Security
Anti-Banner is disabled by default. To enable the component and block banner ads:
- In the main window of Kaspersky Small Office Security, click the settings button in the lower-left corner. To learn how to open the application, please refer to the instructions in this article.
- Go to the Protection section and use the toggle button on the right to enable Anti-Banner.
Anti-Banner will be enabled, and banner ads will be blocked.
How to configure Anti-Banner filters
- In the main window of Kaspersky Small Office Security, click the settings button in the lower-left corner. To learn how to open the application, please refer to the instructions in this article.
- Go to the Protection section and click Anti-Banner → List of filters.
- Enable the filters for blocking banners:
- Recommended. This group includes the general and language-specific filters. These filters are determined by your region and are enabled by default.
- Thematic. This group includes filters for blocking pop-up messages, buttons for social networks, and elements that are not part of the main contents of a website.
- Language-specific. This group includes filters for blocking banners on websites that are in the corresponding language.
How to disable blocking of banners on a website in Kaspersky Small Office Security
- In the main window of Kaspersky Small Office Security, click the settings button in the lower-left corner. To learn how to open the application, please refer to the instructions in this article.
- Go to the Protection section and click Anti-Banner.
- Click Websites with allowed banners → Add.
- Enter the website address and select the Active status.
- Click Add.
How to disable blocking of banners on a website in your browser
If you want banners to be displayed on a website:
- In your browser, click the Kaspersky Protection extension button. It is located on the right or left of the address bar depending on the specific browser. - In the Anti-Banner section, click Allow on this website or Disable Anti-Banner.
Banners will not be blocked on this website.
How to add a banner to the list of blocked or allowed banners in Kaspersky Small Office Security
- In the main window of Kaspersky Small Office Security, click the settings button in the lower-left corner. To learn how to open the application, please refer to the instructions in this article.
- Go to the Protection section, click Anti-Banner and select:
- Blocked banners. Anti-Banner will block banners from this list.
- Allowed banners. Anti-Banner will not block banners from this list.
- Click Add in the lower-right corner.
- Enter the web address mask (URL) and select the Active status.
- Click Add.
How to add a banner to the blocked list in your browser
- In your browser, press the CTRL key on your keyboard and right-click the banner.
- Click Block on this website or Add to Anti-Banner.
