Due to particular characteristics of Android 9 and higher operating systems, the application needs the following additional settings in order for the Adaptive Security and Devices in my network features to work:

  1. Allow Kaspersky Security Cloud to access your location. The application will prompt you for permission when launched for the first time.
  2. Turn on location in the system settings. See the Google support website for instructions.

Kaspersky Security Cloud does not have access to GPS data and does not monitor your actual whereabouts. Permission is only required in order to get information about the Wi-Fi network (SSID, BSSID).
