Before installing or upgrading Kaspersky Security Center components, make sure that the infrastructure meets the hardware and software requirements for the Administration Server, Administration Console and Network Agent. See the hardware and software requirements for your version of the application.

If you use different versions of Kaspersky Security Center components together, follow the recommendations below.

  • If you use a hierarchical structure of Administration Servers:
    • Use the server with the latest version of the application for the primary server in the hierarchy.
We also recommend a configuration where the primary server is Kaspersky Security Center 14.2 for Windows and the secondary server is Kaspersky Security Center 15 for Linux.
    • Upgrade the primary Administration Server first, and then upgrade the secondary servers.
  • Use the Administration MMC Console of the same version as the Administration Server or later.
  • Use a version of the Web Console that is compatible with the version of the Administration Server.
  • Use Network Agents of the same version as the Administration Server or later.
In some cases, use special versions of the Network Agent.
