The tab Update allows adding, configuring and deleting Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Linux File Server update tasks. 

There is a default Update task. Click Add to create a new scan task:



Enter Task Name.



A page will open containing several tabs:



 

  • Schedule: this tab allows scheduling update task execution (click the button Add new schedule rule):

    • Start (at specified time, after databases update, on Anti-Virus startup);

    • Start Periodically (either choose a frequency or set a particular date/day/month/year) or just Once (set a particular date);

    • Check the box Run on schedule and click OK to activate the schedule.

  • Connection settings: this tab allows configuring a connection timeout and proxy server settings.

  • Updates source: this tab allows selecting one of the three update source types:

    • Kaspersky Lab's update servers

    • Kaspersky Administration Server

    • Other directories on the local network or the Web (http:// or ftp://)

  • Updates type: this tab allows choosing task type:

    • Update the databases (download bases for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Linux File Server only)

    • Copy specified updates. Please provide a directory to save updates and a list of component to update.

    • Copy all updates for Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux File Server. Please provide a directory to save updates.

  • Click Save once you are through with configuring the update task settings.
