Console to server remote connection error in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition

The following error may occur, when console establishes a remote connection to installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition:



Solution

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall.
  2. Click Change settings in the box Windows Firewall and open the tab Exceptions.
  3. Check the boxes COM + Network Access, Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) and Windows remote management in the exceptions list.
  4. Click the button Add program.
  5. Select the file kavfsgt.exe in the folder specified as target folder when installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus Console. The default full file path is:
    • Microsoft Windows 32 bit: %ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 For Windows Servers Enterprise Edition\kavfsgt.exe;
    • Microsoft Windows 64 bit: %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 For Windows Servers Enterprise Edition\kavfsgt.exe.
