Unable to connect to remote desktop of the computer with Kaspersky Small Office Security 3 for Personal Computer installed

In some cases it is not possible to connect via Remote Desktop to the computer with Kaspersky Small Office Security 3for Personal Computer installed. The connection becomes available if you disable Firewall.

To fix the problem without disabling the Firewall component, do the following:  

  1. Open Kaspersky Small Office Security 3.
  2. In the upper right corner of the main window, click Settings.

  1. In the Settings window, go to the Protection tab and select Firewall in the left frame.
  2. Make sure the Enable Firewall check box is selected.
  3. In the Network rules section, click Settings.

  1. In the Firewall window, go to the Packet rules tab.
  2. In the list, find the Remote Desktop item.
  3. Right-click the Block icon in the Permission column.
  4. Select Allow.
  5. In the lower right corner of the window, click OK.

  1. In the Settings window, click OK.
