A key file has to be added to each server individually.

You can have two key files added:

  • Active. Is being in use since the moment of adding it. Only one active key is allowed per application.
  • Reserve. Automatically replaces the existing active key file once it expires.
Key files can be added during Kaspersky Anti-Virus installation.

InformationBefore adding a key file via Domino server console interface make sure the key file is available for the file system of the server it is added for. In case of adding a key file via Lotus Notes client or a web browser, make sure it is available for the file system of the client host used to open the Control center database.

How to add a key file:

  1. Go to the Protection management tab in the description bar.
  2. Select a server in a profile in the navigation pane.
  3. Go to the License tab.
  4. Click Add key file.
  5. Select a .key file and click Open.
The selected key file will be added to the server.

The License tab provides the following information:
  • Functionality. There may exist certain functionality limitations:

    • Full – The license is activated.
    • Management only – The license is not activated or the validity period of a trial license has expired.
    • Update only – An error occurred during an antivirus database update, the antivirus databases are damaged, or the license has been blacklisted.
    • Full functionality without update – The validity period of a commercial license has expired.
  • Type. License type: trial or commercial.
  • Expiration date. Expiration date of the license validity period.
  • Days remaining. The period during which you can receive additional services.
  • License number. License serial number.
