Description

In some cases, you may experience problems with access to network folders after installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition. Windows Event Log registers error code 2011:

The Server's configuration parameter "IRPStackSize" is too small for the server to use a local device. Please increase the value of this parameter.

Reason

IRPStackSize key value is too small.

Solution

  1. Open the Registry Editor (regedit command).
For 64-bit operating systems, the Registry Editor should be started from %windir%\SYSwow64\regedit
  2. Locate the following registry branch: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters.
  3. Double-click the IRPStackSize key in the right frame.
If there is no IRPStackSize key, create it (type: Dword, base: Decimal).
  4. Increase the value to 50.
  5. Restart the computer.
