How to configure proxy server settings in an update task in Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server

This article concerns Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server Maintenance Pack 3 (version 8.0.3.30).
 
 
 
 

You can configure proxy server settings in an update task in Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server using the following methods:

  • Via the application web interface: See the Online Help page for instructions.
  • Via the command line. See below for instructions.

How to configure proxy server settings via the command line

  1. Export the update task settings into a file using the following command:
# /opt/kaspersky/klms/bin/klms-control --get-app-settings -f <file_name>
  1. Open the saved file in an editor.
  2. Go to the <updateCommonSettings> section and set the values for the following subsections:
SubsectionValue
<enable>Use of proxy server:
  • 1 — enable
  • 0 — disable
<serverAddress>Name or IP address of the proxy server.
<port>Number of the port for connecting to the proxy server.
<authenticationType>Authentication to connect to the proxy server:
  • NotRequired — authentication is not required.
  • Plain — authentication is required.
<user>, <password>Login and password if authentication is required for connecting to the proxy server.
<proxyBypassLocalAddresses>Use of proxy server for local addresses.
  • 1 — use
  • 0 — do not use

  1. Save the file and import it to the update task using the following command:
# /opt/kaspersky/klms/bin/klms-control --set-settings -f <file_name>
