All network connections on your computer are monitored by FirewallFirewall assigns a specific status to each connection and applies various rules for filtering of network activity depending on that status.

You can specify manually the status of a new network in the notification window which appears once a new network is detected or via the Firewall settings window.

You can add additional subnetworks for connections via routers. In this case, a status of a network and its subnetworks will be the same. Also a network status should by specified when creating a new network/packet rule. You can add a specific network address by selecting a network with a specific status or an IP address/mask.
