  • Service Pack 3 (version 10.5.1781.0)
  • Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 1 (version 10.4.343.0)

A provisioning profile (hereafter profile) is a binary file that you can use to run an app on a device and use its services while it is being developed. The profile contains a certificate, along with information about the device and the operating system it is running. This information is required in order to install applications for business on a device running iOS. For more details about the provisioning profile, see the Apple help page.

Using software with a digital signature and a specific company profile allows you to be certain that you are installing the exact application indicated in the profile.

To learn how to create a provisioning profile, follow the instructions on the Apple help page.
