Hardware virtualization is a technology that allows you to run several virtual guest systems using one process. In other words, it’s possible to run multiple operating systems on one computer using a hypervisor. Examples of popular hypervisors: VMWare ESXi, Xen, Microsoft Hyper-V.

Kaspersky Lab applications installed on 64-bit versions of Windows 8, 8.1 or 10 use hardware virtualization for additional protection when using Protected Browser. This feature provides additional protection against complex malware that steals data through clipboard or phishing. The status of hardware virtualization is available in the Safe Money settings window.
