How to use a configuration file in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows

A configuration file can be used for the following purposes:
- for local and remote installation уof the application with preset parameters
- for saving the settings of the protection components
You can use configuration files from the earlier version, Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows.
1. How to create a configuration file
To create a configuration file, perform the following actions on a host with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows installed:
- Open Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Configure the application.
- Select the Advanced Settings section in the left frame and click Save in the Manage Settings section.
- Choose a location and save the configuration file.
If you are going to use the configuration file to install the application with defined settings, name this file install.cfg.
2. How to use a configuration file
To install Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows with the defined settings on a local host:
- Create a configuration file named install.cfg.
- Add a key file and install.cfg into a folder containing the MSI installer.
To load or import settings into Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows:
- Open Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows and go to the Settings tab.
- Go to the Advanced Settings section in the left frame and click Load in the Manage Settings section.
- Choose the .cfg file location and click OK. This will import the settings from the configuration file into the application.
